Beginning ... the Journey...
The Land of Culture and Natural beauty. Sindhudurg is famous for it's natural beauty like Beaches, Backwater, Waterfalls and Pilgrimage centers. The major attraction here is the long and narrow stretch of beaches. On a clear day, you can see the sea-bed through a depth of 20 ft. Then of course, there are the forts, Sindhudurg one of Maharashtra's more popular and important sea forts built in the 17th century and the famous Padmagarh fort.
This is the introduction to the destination that the internet gave me. I've been travelling for a while but had gone into the mundane grind of what a daily job offers you. Lately, I feel the need to break loose and return to 'default' settings...I look back occassionally to the younger days when we left for unknown destinatons at a moments notice. Did'nt have the web, GPS or even a budget.This time round I plan to do it on bike mostly. Step one is a bike I guess...Have two options here but I need to look at a bike that can be serviced and repaired in any part of the country. Should be rugged and minimize rider fatigue. Should be something I dont have to worry myself to death about as regards pricing, maintenance and resilience.Looking like the Bullet 500 Continental but riding posture is highly suspect as far as long distance goes...Dwelling..... Mulling.... and the clock ticks by....
There are some persons that are on the list as companions. Crawl out of your hiding places guys. This 'age' thing wont go away...
